How do Darlington Replacement Boiler Grants work?

ECO is a Government Scheme designed to help low-income households to access home efficiency improvements. The aim of the initiative is to both lower the cost of heating homes and reduce the carbon footprint of low income households. As part of this scheme, free and heavily subsided replacement boilers are available. If you meet the criteria and your current boiler is at least 5 years old, you could qualify.

Boiler Grants are non-repayable, so there is no requirement to pay the money back at a later date. There are no complicated terms and conditions or hidden charges to get your head around. If you qualify for the grant, you can have a new boiler installed. It’s as simple as that. You’ll also get new heating controls where necessary.

How much funding you receive is based on the efficiency of your home, so you’ll receive a free energy assessment. In some instances, you might need to make a small contribution in Darlington.
